My name is Ellen, and I am a local business woman and mother to two adult daughters. I began my involvement with gun use, safety, and concealed carry as the gun control laws in Illinois started changing. Along with my daughters, I started out by enrolling in classes locally and practicing at the range.

Through my continued education, I grew increasingly aware of some participants and friends feeling intimidated by the classes available for concealed carry, basic hand gun handling, and safety. I then became interested in earning my certification to teach in order to help students feel more secure in their education and practice.
